This role will be based in Sunnyvale, CA.

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from the LinkedIn Sunnyvale office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
 

The LinkedIn Flagship Engineering Technical Program Management Group is looking for a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our team which is part of LinkedIn's Flagship engineering organization. Flagship engineering consists of over 1,000 engineers who are responsible for building all new features and functionality on Linkedin.com across all platforms. This team is heavily investing in many product and technology initiatives to build products that provide daily value and knowledge to our members, as well as build world class app platforms. The impact of this role spans throughout the Flagship organization and our partners in infrastructure and other product engineering orgs. 
 

As a Senior Staff TPM on the Flagship team, you will be the connective tissue for organization‑wide planning—integrating OKRs, multi‑horizon roadmaps, and efficiency plans (capacity, hardware, and spend) into a single, trusted view that guides executive decisions and day‑to‑day execution. You will own and drive large‑scale, cross‑functional programs that span product, platform, and infrastructure, aligning priorities, clarifying trade‑offs, and orchestrating dependencies across teams. You’ll establish the planning rhythms, standardize artifacts and metrics , and build scenario models that tie investment choices to outcomes. Partnering closely with senior engineering and product leaders, you’ll combine strategic acumen with deep technical understanding of software infrastructure and productivity systems to raise signal, reduce waste, and accelerate delivery. The ideal candidate influences without authority, communicates crisply at all levels, is relentlessly metrics driven, and can dive from portfolio strategy to system details to ensure the right work ships, at the right quality, on time.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead org-wide planning and deliver clear, data-driven visibility into investment, spend, and ROI to enable informed decision-making.

  • Lead product and technical programs through the full lifecycle process from initiating and planning, to execution, monitoring, and landing impact.

  • Help teams be more efficient, see the big picture, and ensure processes scale appropriately with the company.

  • Partner with VP level leadership on program execution and organization efficiency.

  • Set the teams up for success with best-in-class program management practices (Risk management, Stakeholder management, Communication strategy, Conflict resolution, etc.)

  • Create a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, mastery, innovation, and learning.

  • Manage and maintain program roadmap and ensure forward momentum with strategic execution.

  • Manage dependencies and schedule alignment between multiple projects within the program.

  • Mentor individuals in best practices for planning and execution.

  • Develop strong partnerships with technology and business leaders.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 8+ years of technical program management experience

  • 3+ years of technical program management experience in either product, infrastructure, or ML/AI platform areas
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of software product development, business and technical metrics.

  • Understanding of infrastructure, hardware capacity planning and AI/ML domains.

  • Proven track record of leading teams and programs to deliver successful outcomes. This includes using best practices for scheduling, monitoring, tracking, and executing technical programs, as well as initiating, planning, and executing large
