Diablo Nephrology Medical Group is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Clinical Research Assistant (CRA) to support its growing clinical research program. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced Clinical Research Coordinators, research nurses, physicians, sponsors, and patients while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the conduct of clinical trials.
As a Clinical Research Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting study operations, patient visits, data collection, documentation, and day-to-day research activities. Whether you're beginning your career in clinical research or looking to expand your healthcare experience, this position provides meaningful exposure to clinical trials and opportunities for professional growth.

What You'll Do
Clinical Research Support
• Assist Clinical Research Coordinators and Research Nurses with the day-to-day conduct of clinical trials
• Support patient recruitment, pre-screening, scheduling, and study visit coordination
• Perform research-related procedures as trained and delegated, including:
◦ Vital signs
◦ EKGs
◦ Medical history collection
◦ Study documentation
• Assist with laboratory activities, specimen collection, processing, and handling
• Maintain research equipment, supplies, and designated laboratory areas
• Support patient flow and ensure study visits are conducted efficiently and professionally
Administrative & Regulatory Support
• Organize and maintain research records, source documents, and regulatory files
• Enter and maintain study data in electronic data capture (EDC) systems
• Assist with preparation of study documentation for monitoring visits, audits, and quality reviews
• Receive, organize, and track study supplies and laboratory kits
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing research-related communications
• Assist with scheduling monitoring visits and supporting sponsor/CRO personnel
• Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with study requirements
Team Collaboration
• Work closely with clinical and research teams to support successful study execution
• Build positive, professional relationships with patients, physicians, research staff, sponsors, and CRO partners
• Support compliance with study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), applicable regulations, and Panoramic Science Standard Operating Procedures
• Participate in study-specific training and ongoing professional development
• Contribute to a collaborative, patient-focused research environment
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team
• Professional demeanor and strong commitment to patient confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a health-related or life sciences field
• Prior clinical research, healthcare, or clinical trial experience
• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant, Clinical Research Assistant, Patient Care Technician, or similar role
• Phlebotomy experience
• Experience performing EKGs and/or other basic clinical procedures
• Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and clinical research regulations
• Experience working with electronic medical records or electronic data capture system
