The Loan Specialist is responsible for performing a multitude of complex operational tasks for the commercial, consumer, and mortgage departments. This position is held accountable for regulatory reporting on behalf of NBC, and adherence to regulations, policies, and procedures is required. Accountability and accuracy are key to this position, as errors could potentially cause monetary and reputational risk to the bank. This position is responsible for developing processes and procedures, conducting training for team members as applicable, and accountable for keeping management informed of pertinent information. Assures compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal banking regulations.
 

Qualified candidates will have:

• Associate’s degree in a related field and/or 2+ years of comparable work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, including tact and professionalism.
• Proficiency in writing and oral communication. The ability to speak effectively is a must.
• Be a team player and exhibit a positive attitude in high-stress situations, easily adapting to priorities, initiatives, and direction changes.
• Ability to meet department goals and job expectations in a rapidly growing business environment, working at a fast pace while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Must be able to work independently and be comfortable diving into the unknown, as each job function may vary and be situational.
• Must possess comprehension, analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Advanced math skills; calculate interest and proportions; compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

The pay range for this position is $22.50 to $34.00 per hour.
