This position has an annual rate of $47,379.07.

Service Oklahoma offers a generous benefits package, including a benefits allowance to off-set the costs of medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans. Service Oklahoma will match up to 7% towards an employee’s Defined Contribution retirement plan. Our employees receive 11 paid holidays, 15 days of paid annual leave, which increases with every 5 years of service, and 15 days of paid sick leave. Additionally, employees will receive longevity payments based on their years of service with the State of Oklahoma.

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Field Auditor plays a crucial role by conducting a wide-range of audits, including financial audits of licensed operators and reconciling accounts, ledgers and bank statements.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed by the employee assigned to this position. It should not be construed as an exhaustive list of all required duties, responsibilities and skills.

• Investigates and analyzes relevant legal and policy issues.
• Verifies accuracy of entries of licensed operators’ accounts.
• Prepares audit reports, documenting conclusions of audits, and provide recommendations.
• Presents financial audits to the licensed operators and explain any deficiencies.
• Performs inventory of plates and decals.
• Reports on compliance with brand standards and condition of licensed operators’ locations based on site visits in conjunction with field audit.
• Identifies persistent error trends and reports those trends immediately to management.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge and understanding of modern office methods and procedures, including computer technology related to accounting systems.

LEVEL DESCRIPTORS

Level I

• The Level I is considered entry level of the job family where employees are primarily responsible for performing various routine audits, reviews, investigations or assisting in the completion of more complex audits or investigations as a member of an audit team. It also includes entry-level auditors who generally perform such work in a training status to build their skills in completing various types of audits and reviews.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

The preferred minimum qualifications for this position are:

Level I

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or related field;
• OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• The schedule for this position may vary and require flexibility, including some early or late shifts, weekends, and occasional overtime, based on the needs of the agency. 

• This position requires part-time telework due to the needs of the agency.  This position requires the employee to work on-site and telework at an off-site location, generally in the employee’s home.  The telework location must have a reliable, secure internet connection. 
• This position requires significant travel including overnight stays.  The selected candidate must be willing and able to perform all job-related travel.  State vehicle
