Job Description

The Assistant Manager, Store design will support the implementation of all counter installations across North America – Ensuring all visual standards of Maison Francis Kurkdjian are maintained, while working closely with Production Vendors, Install teams, General Contractors, and Retail partners. The Assistant Manager, Store Design reports directly to the Director, Store Design based within the NYC metropolitan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Paris Headquarters in the technical execution for all flagship, A level, and B level installations across North America
  • Acquire and manage cross-functional teams such as architects, millworkers, procurement teams, and consultants; train as necessary to align with store design processes and procedures.
  • Initiate, review, and approve owner’s review sets, out to bid drawings, and construction documents.
  • Review, redline, and approve millwork shop drawings.
  • Organize design proposal presentations to landlord for review and assist in negotiation approvals for maximum visibility and presence of the brand.
  • Organize pre-construction meetings to align with various prokect teams for installation and supervise progress on site during construction.
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising department in the production of VM guidelines and supervise installation of soft merchandising elements for each shop opening as needed.
  • Co-Manage Maintenance and Repairs with East/West Coast Visual Manager for all Maison Francus Kurdjian North America installations (propose/approve scope, assign/bid fixture vendors, manage repair supply base, act as secondary point of contact for field associates).
  • Manage and track project budgets.  Maintain timely submission of PO requests, and payments to consultants + vendors.
  • Conduct site visits and assemble punchlists upon final construction hand over.
  • Self manage travel expenses and travel budgets.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in Store Design or Visual Merchandising, preferably a background in luxury beauty.
  • Exceptional visual standards and the ability to execute the Maison Francis Kurkdjian visual direction.
  • Ability to oversee and follow through on multiple, simultaneous projects.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Solution-oriented and high sense of ownership.
  • Be autonomous & rigorous.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, as needed, including early mornings, over-nights, evenings to align to construction schedules.
  • 20% travel required
  • Ability to work in a hybrid work environment such as, from home or an office setting, and field travel.
  • Strong computer skills in Vectorworks/AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe suite, Office suite, Outlook
  • Speaking French is a plus.

While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, LVMH Inc. reserves the right to pay outside of the published salary range of $80,000-$85,000.
