What You’ll Do

  • Lead the Inbound Department with consistency and effectiveness, driving your team to meet and exceed current receiving goals.
  • Plan and schedule the efficient use of manpower and equipment to achieve daily objectives seamlessly.
  • Possess a broad knowledge of procedures used in various distribution center functions, understanding workload priorities and their relationships with other departments.
  • Embrace the team environment with excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, housekeeping, productivity, and quality with proven results.
  • Maintain exemplary attendance, promptly respond to special operations requests, and support overtime as needed.
  • Continuously monitor department performance against standards, seeking operational improvements and advising the Receiving Supervisor of issues requiring attention.
  • Support the development of team members through coaching and various training initiatives, displaying consistency, fairness, and recognition for outstanding work or ideas.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of receiving issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely put away processes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the receiving process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent, with some college coursework preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in distribution or warehouse environments.
  • Proficiency with WMS or similar distribution software.
  • Preferably, leadership experience and a knack for guiding teams in a warehouse setting.
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the methods and procedures used across various distribution center functions.
  • Stellar interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to train others effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • A readiness to embrace and drive change as a change advocate.
  • Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and planning/organizing abilities.
  • Physical ability to regularly stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands.
  • Capability to lift and/or move 10 lbs. regularly and up to 35 lbs. occasionally.
  • Resilience to work in environments occasionally exposed to extreme temperatures.
