Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced System Director for Facilities Management for our Gaithersburg, MD Support Center location who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
As a System Director you will:
• Maintain and promotes customer service to both internal and external customers. Responds to all requests from clients/customers utilizing Rises Values. Establish system response rates for service requests, standard priority levels, metrics dashboards and reporting with transparency to senior administration.
• Develop a mechanism to track contract renewals, provide standardization and develop a standard process for renegotiation to create system wide contracts for facilities management ensuring greater efficiency and cost savings.
• Promote process improvement and best practices for the facilities, creates, distributes and maintains all necessary reports and documentation, develop mechanism for quarterly budget reviews for each facility, look for anomalies and deviations to ensure the most cost-effective use of all resources and identify areas for improvement.
• Coache and develop site-based facility directors to continually learn and progress in their fields of expertise, creatively designs and deploys service programs. Ensures each site director maintains CEU’s for Certified Healthcare Facility Management (CHFM). Must have knowledge of building codes, N.F.P.A., O.S.H.A., TJC EOC, CMMS, and other requirements.
• Work with the operational excellence team to deliver and enhance process and policies relevant to the specific sites while standardizing across the system. Standardizes the reporting process of the environment of care and life safety sections for the Joint Commission.
• Review current staffing models and contracted services to ensure the most cost-effective use of human resources while maintain a standard level of excellence at all sites of service.
Qualifications include:
• Bachelors degree in engineering or construction management desired.
• A minimum of 8 years experience in facilities management at either an acute care hospital or health system level (multiple facilities).
• CHFM certification required.
• Ability to communicate with senior level executives as well as front line staff and vendors
• Ability to work in a multi-facility system. Balance tactical level subject matter expertise on building systems with strategic thinking and forward planning for new and innovative approaches to Facilities Management.
• Ability to create reports, comfort level with FSI/CMS and working knowledge of CMMS and building automation systems (Tridium, Niagara, Building Logix)
• Ability to coach and build close alliances between system-level Facilities and Real Estate division and local business unit entities (acute care hospitals and non-acute clinical sites).
• Financial and budget development and performance monitoring. Understands contracting and value analysis, variance reporting when working with local business unit entity facilities managements leaders.
• Ability to creatively come up with system level contracting to leverage cost savings/avoidance.
Work Schedule:
Monday- Friday 9:00a-5:00p
On Site at Support Center and Hospital Campus Sites (includes Call-In for emergent situations)
