Clinical Research Assistant - Biorepository - Per Diem - Grant Funded - Torrey Pines

This is a casual/per diem, non-benefited position with day shifts, up to 20 hours/week. Hours would be Monday through Friday between the hours of 0800-1700. This position is grant funded through 9/2026.

The Scripps Health/Scripps Clinic Biorepository and Bioinformatics Core is a multifaceted, comprehensive resource for physicians and scientists that provides access to various biological materials for the purposes of conducting research on many diseases and health conditions. The Clinical Research Assistant position is ideal for the self-motivated, detail oriented candidate who works well independently and can prioritize their day efficiently, with experience using Excel and other Microsoft applications as well as Epic or another EMR. 

Responsibilities include:

• Completing chart reviews and data entry for biorepository studies
• May assist with outreach, patient enrollment, consenting patients, and everyday lab maintenance (including cleaning, freezer maintaining and inventory when needed)

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

• 1 Year in health care setting, or Allied Health professional degree. 
• Advanced written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. 
• Strong prioritization, organizational, and problem solving skills. Strong motivator/communicator in a compact clinical team working with aggressive timelines. 
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office software. 
  
  Required Certification/Registration:
• BLS 
  
  Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
• BS/BA. 
• Proficiency in medical terminology
• Experience using Epic
• Experienced with Excel
