Systems Software Programmer

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experiences Systems Software Programmer to join our team of qualified, and diverse individuals.

 

This position is On-Site in Tallahassee, Florida. 

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities: 

• Analyze, develop, modify, install, test, and maintain operating systems software
• Possess a strong understanding of systems programming, graphical user interfaces, and control languages
• Evaluate vendor-supplied software packages and make recommendations to IT management
• Modify and/or debug vendor-supplied utilities and packages
• Modify, install, and prepare technical documentation for system software applications
• Diagnose, isolate, and debug software problems and perform problem resolution
• Monitor systems capacity and performance
• Plan and execute disaster recovery procedures
• Provide Tier 2 technical support
• Use OWASP Top Ten for secure coding practices
• Work on multiple products, activities, and projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project leader
• Handle moderately complex tasks, projects, activities, or support issues requiring increased skill in multiple technical environments

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree and 5 years or a Maters Degree and 3 years of experience or a High School Diploma and 9 years of experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
• Be able to pass a State of Florida criminal background screening
• Experience writing and maintaining SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures/packages/views using Oracle 11g or above.
• Experience writing and maintaining SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures/functions using SQL Server 2017 or above as the data store.
• Experience in webpage development using .html, .css, xml or Javascript.
• Experience writing, debugging, updating code in a .NET programming environment using Visual Basic or C#.
• Experience with project migrations and upgrades for Visual Studio, .NET Framework, and Core 6 including converting source code from VB.Net to C#
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform line of business intelligence, app development, app connectivity, and AZURE.

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
