About the role

Perform inspections on production at required intervals, per quality control plan requirements. This

includes the following activities:

  • Visual and dimensional verification of product to specification
  • Utilize various pieces of test equipment as necessary to validate product conformity
  • Maintain accuracy in measurements through continuous equipment calibration verification
  • Record product quality audit results and create reports with daily findings
  • Escalation to production supervisor and quality management in cases of non-conforming product
  • Place all non-conforming product on quality hold for inspection, with review of suspect product as required
  • Help to analyze and correct production problems

Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to ensure production environment is suitable for

production of food packaging

Verify paperwork related to FSMS (Food Safety Management System) and QMS (Quality Management System) are filled out accurately and fully

Work in a safe manner, following and complying with Seda personal protective equipment.

Communicate with both operations and quality personnel when issues are observed during production

Perform sorting activities as needed based on business priorities.

Support customer samples request and maintain open communication with customer service representatives.

Complete and maintain Samples Inventory and coordinate replacement of Samples Room.

Support areas such as Research and Development, Customer Service and Sales as required.

Prioritize work and meet deadlines as required. Communicate with Management and escalate if deadlines are not achievable.

1st shift; 7AM-3PM

Pay: $18/hr.

Requirements

Knowledge of quality testing methodologies and standards.

The ability to use gauges such as calipers, weight scales, digital meters, micrometers, etc…

Experience utilizing the Microsoft suite of products, with an emphasis on navigating Windows environments and utilizing programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel

Knowledge of SAP a plus

Previous experience as a quality inspector is a plus

Effective communication (Verbal and Written)

Self-motivated with the ability to work well within a team environment

Ability to read and interpret documents such as FSSC and ISO codes, ASTM, safety rules, operating procedures, and manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
