What You’ll Do
You’ll play a key role in reviewing and processing exam documentation and supporting military communities through clear communication, strong organization, and excellent customer care.
In this role, you will:
- Work inside a proprietary electronic medical record (EMR) system to review and process patient health information
- Review exams, assessments, documentation, and test results for accuracy and completeness
- Conduct phone interviews with Service Members and Veterans to verify and corroborate information
- Produce a clear, thorough, and concise final documentation product
- Collaborate with providers, Veterans, and Service Members to ensure exams meet contract and regulatory requirements
- Complete system-generated tasks to process exam documentation efficiently
- Document test results and maintain accurate records
- Educate and support providers, Veterans, and Service Members on navigating medical history and paperwork related to disability claims
- Interface by phone (approx. 50%) and email to retrieve required Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) information
- Recognize urgent behavioral health concerns and initiate the high-risk intervention process when needed
- Stay current on contract requirements and apply guidelines with licensed support
Shifts Available (Choose Your Preference!)
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST (Mon–Fri)
OR - 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM CST (Mon–Fri)
Training
- 3 weeks of training
- Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
Compensation
- Pay is determined pursuant to the Service Contract Act (SCA)
- Most roles fall between $15.00 – $18.00/hr
- Compensation is non-negotiable

Requirements
What You Need to Succeed (Required)
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re fast, focused, and confident working with medical documentation in a remote environment.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Medical training/education in a related field (MA, LPN, EMT, Medic, Corpsman, HIT) or completion of:
Anatomy & Physiology • Medical Terminology • Human Body Systems • Common Diseases
(Equivalent education/experience or military experience accepted.)
⭐ Certified Medical Assistants strongly preferred - 40 WPM typing speed
- Strong knowledge of healthcare documentation + terminology (medical, behavioral health, psychological)
- Excellent communication skills (especially professional phone presence)
- Ability to interpret exam notes, labs, and supporting medical records
- Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (especially Word)
- Availability for one of these schedules:
