About the role

JOB SUMMARY: 

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and alignment of sourcing strategies for key commodities and spend categories within the casino industry. Candidates require substantial recent, proven experience in a procurement function involved in high risk, high value, services and supplies covering a range of categories and commodities.
  • Identify, develop, and manage strategic business relationships and gain a comprehensive understanding of assigned category business requirements.
  • Interface and advise with senior executives to align business priorities and manage issues.
  • Maintain and provide a current understanding of industry best practices and category trends to team members and business partners.
  • Measure and manage the overall performance of the sourced supplier network within the assigned categories.
  • Identify metrics, tools, and processes to optimize sourcing, supplier activities, and efficiencies, and work collaboratively with team members to prioritize and drive implementation.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders to establish short-term and long-term business objectives.
  • Develop project plans, deliverables, metrics and milestones.
  • Implement process disciplines and management systems necessary to achieve desired results.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities and establish sources for new suppliers and markets as business requirements dictate.
  • Direct the development and negotiation of complex agreements with suppliers encompassing key program specifications and functional objectives.
  • Manage governance and control programs to ensure business continuity, protect company assets, and comply with corporate and regulatory policies.
  • Ensure organizational financial goals are met.
  • Develop both internal and external partnerships critical to meeting objectives.
  • Report annual cost savings programs and implement business strategies that directly affect company financial results and growth plans.
  • Advise on supplier network capabilities and commodity/spend category trends and industry best practices.
  • Effectively manage several projects.
  • Will be a remote Work From Home (WFH) position.

Qualifications:

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive business and sourcing experience in food services and products.
  • Bachelor’s or similar degree in hotel management, business, operations management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 years in progressively challenging roles in sourcing/negotiations/supplier management.
  • 3 year’s relevant experience with food categories.
  • Strong subject matter expertise in food products and services.
  • Experienced in negotiating simple and complex commodity programs with a detailed understanding of operations, finance, and the evaluation of terms, pricing minimum order requirements, and service level standards.
  • Ability to manage large complex projects including managing to a project timeline, ensuring quality deliverables, effective communication and project risk management.
  • Subject matter expertise in strategic sourcing methodologies and working knowledge of the procurement function.
  • Strong effective negotiation skills.
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills. Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong computer, excel, word, power point, e-auction and systems literacy.
  • Customer (internal/external) Centric.
  • Leader of change.
