About the role

Salary/Position Classification

  • 18.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • up to 40 (summer) hours per week
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No
  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

To Assist with regional (GF County) and nationwide plant and soil inventory projects

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Travel with a field crew to field sites and natural areas across the Great Plains and Pacific Northwest to conduct plant surveys and collect soil samples.
  • In-lab processing of soil and plant samples
  • Work with private landowners/producers.

Required Competencies

  • Valid Driver’s License 
  • Ability to travel overnight for up to 2 weeks at a time during the summer

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License or International Driver's permit

  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
