About the role

The Cyber Physical Systems Co-op position will be part of Security Risk Advisors’ Advisory team which is comprised of Cyber Defense Engineering services. Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients in manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, oil & gas and others to protect cyber physical systems, environments and personnel from cyber security attacks.
  • Architect, deploy, and/or optimize industry leading defensive CPS security toolsets such as Dragos, Claroty, Armis, tenable.ot, Nozomi, Secomea, OPSWAT and Defender for IoT as well as traditional SIEM and EDR capabilities.
  • Work with clients to draft vertical and environment specific CPS framework, standards and/or processes and procedures detailing system and environmental needs for network segmentation, 3rd party remote access, anti-virus, removable media protection and other fundamental CPS security requirements.
  • Execute specialized security services differently depending on the unique CPS system and environment categories of OT, IoT, IIoT, IoMT and Robotics.
  • Develop internal tools to improve services and methodology.
  • Stay up to date with the latest OT (but not limited to) attacker and ransomware tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to assist with the design and implementation of security strategy and architecture across platforms for a variety of solutions.
  • Conduct requirements gathering, analysis, and assist in development of security strategy for clients.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to deliver projects.
  • Thoroughly document work in formal reports and present findings to management suitable for customer consumption.
  • Remain current on information security and emerging threat trends, tools, and methodologies.
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Requirements

Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computing & Security Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent subject matter.
• Previous information security experience is a plus.
• Strong organization skills with attention to detail.
• Some knowledge around incident investigation, forensics, and advanced threat controls.
• Interest in taking the initiative for personal growth and development.
• Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules of client and project needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
• Willingness to travel depending on assignments and specializations.
