Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.
As a Senior Manager Regional Packaging, you will lead, govern and meet the target metrics for the design and creation of packaging materials for 20+ served NA manufacturing facilities. This role will also collaborate with the global team to drive packaging best practice, manage the team annual business plan and RBM cycle, and recruit and develop a strong talent pipeline for the packaging community.

What You Will Do:
• Review and suggest guidance for the established processes and quality control system for package design practices are in alignment to the Packaging vision; supervising the team's and manager's performance and compliance to the processes.
• Managing and governing regional-level developed standards and procedures to get design packages for both internal and external audiences through managers, packing design team or on-site packaging engineers.
• Governing and developing metrics to control and meet targets on the design and creation of packaging operations for an organization and meet regulatory compliance requirements.
• Leading and governing at the regional level, encouraging the package design team to generate creative ideas; participating and keeping the team's brainstorming process in focus.
• Partnering with managers to strategize and creates long term vision for packaging team and organization.
What You Have (Basic Requirements):
• Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain
• Service Excellence: Experience of customer relationship management and building trust; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations with sense of urgency and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Packaging: Knowledge of packaging tools, approaches and industry best practices; ability to package products and components safely and attractively; General understanding of packaging and transportation best
practice/challenges; comfortable to lead new technology deployment.
• Technical Excellence: Knowledge of packaging, supply chain and manufacturing technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide cost effective solutions to significant technical challenges; Experience with multiple supply chains and transportation mode desired.
• Benchmarking: Knowledge of the packaging concepts, methods and tools used in benchmarking; ability to carry out a systematic process for identifying and achieving better performance and practices in a manufacturing environment.
