SERVPRO of Sussex County is hiring a hands-on Contents Supervisor to help launch and grow our dedicated Contents Division.

This position will serve as the first full-time field team member assigned specifically to contents restoration. The Contents Supervisor will work closely with the Contents Manager to coordinate, perform, and oversee pack-outs, inventory, cleaning, transportation, storage, and pack-backs.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, driven, detail-oriented, and customer-focused. The ideal candidate leads by example, takes ownership of the work, and understands the importance of carefully handling customers’ furniture and personal belongings during a stressful property loss.

This position reports directly to the Contents Manager.

What You’ll Do

  •  Coordinate and perform contents-restoration services as scheduled 
  •  Lead and assist with pack-outs and pack-backs 
  •  Photograph, inventory, label, pack, move, clean, store, and return customer belongings 
  •  Handle furniture, clothing, electronics, keepsakes, and other personal property with care 
  •  Maintain accurate and detailed job files, inventories, photographs, and project notes 
  •  Use SERVPRO systems and procedures to track contents throughout the restoration process 
  •  Communicate clear expectations to technicians and supervise their work as the team grows 
  •  Maintain quality-control standards during packing, cleaning, storage, and pack-back activities 
  •  Provide a professional, compassionate, and positive customer experience 
  •  Communicate project progress, concerns, and delays to the Contents Manager and office team 
  •  Identify jobsite safety hazards and help establish appropriate control measures 
  •  Follow and enforce company safety and risk-management procedures 
  •  Manage labor and consumable usage on assigned projects 
  •  Protect and properly use company vehicles, equipment, materials, and supplies 
  •  Maintain an organized warehouse, cleaning area, and customer storage system 
  •  Perform assigned vehicle and equipment inspections and maintenance 
  •  Help train and coach future Contents Technicians 
  •  Assist with facility and grounds maintenance as assigned 
  •  Continue developing knowledge of restoration methods, cleaning products, equipment, and contents services 
  •  Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  •  High school diploma or GED required 
  •  At least one year of experience in cleaning, restoration, construction, moving, warehousing, logistics, or a related field preferred 
  •  Previous supervisor, crew-lead, or team-lead experience preferred 
  •  IICRC certifications preferred 
  •  Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  •  Strong organizational and problem-solving skills 
  •  Basic computer and mobile-technology skills 
  •  Ability to follow written and verbal instructions 
  •  Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record 
  •  Ability to pass applicable background and employment screenings 
Compensation

This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position offering competitive pay based on experience.
