COMPENSATION: $65,000-$82,500

THE ROLE
When you join the YES Prep team, you will assist the Manager of Health and Wellness and provide or aide staff and students with first aid, immunization, screenings and data input for reports, State required screenings and reporting services and/or procedures under the supervision of the Manager of Health and Wellness. Some exciting work and responsibilities are to:
- Maintaining system-wide student medical records;
- Participating in the formulation of campus health program goals and objectives;
- Providing direct health care, emergency first aid and car, and related health services according to YES Prep policies and procedures;
- Providing preventive health care by providing appraisals, screening programs, referrals and following up; recognizing, reporting and using control measures on communicable disease; and monitoring and following up on immunizations needs;
- Providing personal care support for students who are not fully toilet trained;
- Promoting Health and Community Services;
- Processing State Required Screenings;
- Upholding national standards to protect the privacy of student health information;
- Ensuring compliance with HIPPA & FERPA;
- Maintaining compliance with the Texas Educator’s Code of Ethics;
- Identifying and accessing student health problems to primary health care;
- Monitoring student immunization records;
- Maintaining staff and student right to privacy;
- Conducting specific health instruction for students, parents and staff and serving as a resource to staff regarding health instruction;
- Reporting all injuries of staff and students to supervisor immediately;
- Performing and/or assisting staff and student in first aid, screenings and state reports;
- Performing duties according to policy and procedure to maintain safe school environment;
- Participating in duties throughout the school year for state compliance;
