Job Description

Our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) portfolio is a powerhouse collection of consumer-first brands, supported by media industry leaders, Comcast, NBCUniversal and Sky. Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

  • Static testing of User Stories, Requirements, following analysis and report back any ambiguities and gaps to the Business Analyst and Product Owner for clarification
  • Create and execute test documentation
  • Manage test results and reports
  • Collaboratively communicate with project stakeholders
  • Be proactive and willing to take on responsibility
  • Represent the QA team in project, progress, status meetings
  • Estimate testing efforts with reasonable accuracy, including contingency
  • Be a matter expert on the project and share knowledge throughout the team
  • Active contribution to automation and manual testing in various testing types – Component, Functional, Usability, Exploratory, Sanity, Regression, Integration and End to End Testing
  • Drive improvement throughout the team
  • Research test tools, methodologies, and trends to contribute to the upgrading of existing practices and processes

Qualifications

  • Industry experience and a successful track record in software testing
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, test practice and terminology and ability to apply them independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in SDLC and STLC
  • Experience in defining of the acceptance criteria within the cross functional development team
  • Ability to demonstrate strong communication skills and a focused, determined,
     pro-active attitude
  • Experience using Test management and issues logging tools such as JIRA, GitHub, Zephyr
  • Strong knowledge of Charles/Fiddler or other proxy tools
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze logs
  • Ability to identify risks and assumptions made and bring them to the team’s attention
  • Experience in writing and executing test cases - using automation where possible - to validate quality of features in line with acceptance criteria and test standards
  • Proficiency in version control, PR standards, best practices in maintaining quality code for automation tests and utilizing CI/CD pipeline release cycles
  • Ability to create and maintain Test Automation Frameworks with Java, Maven, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress or similar
  • Experienced in Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Data Driven Development frameworks
  • Understanding of XML, JSON, REST, SOAP
  • Experience in validating and verifying APIs using testing tools such as Postman
  • Experienced in AWS Products and services
  • Knowledge in video streaming and delivery, video ads insertion and applicable testing approaches
