Heavy Duty Casino Cleaner - Full Time (Grave Shift)

As a Heavy Custodial Cleaner, you play a vital role in creating a sparkling environment for our guests and team members! Your mission is to ensure our public bathrooms shine, making every visit a refreshing experience. Your responsibilities include energizing the space by taking out trash bags, sweeping, and mopping, while also giving the casino floor a polished touch. You'll be wiping down slot machines and maintaining a clean, inviting smokers' area. Each day brings the opportunity to make a difference and leave a lasting impression!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provides fast and flawless service to every customer.
• Strips and waxes floors.
• Shampoos and spot cleans carpeted areas.
• Uses extractor equipment, floor scrubbers, shampoo machines, polishing machines, and special vacuum cleaners and scrubbers.
• Moves office furnishings and items as directed.
• Responsible for grounds keeping to include seasonal plan changes.
• Cleans interior and exterior windows as directed.
• Presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same.
• Scrubs and cleans all exteriors.
• Cleans overheads, ceilings, and vents.
• Cleans all Harrah’s exterior-owned property, including sidewalks, parking lots, valet areas, and all other areas as directed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have a clean driving record (no-at-fault accidents)
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior cleaning, maintenance, or hotel housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning equipment.
• General knowledge of chemicals, shampoo, strippers, and wax.
• Must be capable of working in high places using lifts or harnesses.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends.

JOB DEMANDS:

• Lifts up to a maximum of 50 pounds and frequently lifts and/or carries up to 50 pounds. 
• Position requires 20% standing, 5% sitting, 75% walking. 
• Requires frequent bending, twisting, climbing and stooping; very frequent pushing, kneeling and reaching overhead. 
• Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino and remote buildings. 
• Must be able to read, understand and tolerate the usage of cleaning chemicals. 
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment. 
• Must have the manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment and machines. 
• Must be able to work in areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust. 
• Requires the ability to respond to speech, touch, smell, aural and visual cues.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Grave Shift: 10:30 pm -7:00 am
