About the role

  1. Conduct surveys at all properties to ensure that all company standards are being met, including:
    • Monthly Quality Assurance
    • Local DOH Survey readiness
    • Budget compliance
    • Purchasing compliance (bid work, preferred vendors)
    • Menu content – maintain product specification
    • Food preparation and presentation
    • Resident satisfaction (touch tables)
    • Staff appearance
    • Calendar of Events requirements
  2. Monitor Food Service Programs and assist Director of Food Service with the implementation process and presentation standards for:
    • Executive Dinner
    • Family Favorite Recipes
    • Weekly Action Stations
    • Marketing Events
  3. Maintain Food Service Policy and Procedure Standards
    • Assist with developing and implementing new practices
    • Conduct monthly in-service training – “train the trainer” on proper delivery techniques
  4. Support all functions of new community start-up
    • Assist with hiring, orientation and training
    • Receive, organize and store equipment and supplies
    • Organize and set up office, files and programs
  5. Support properties during staffing challenges
    • Cover DFS vacancies, fulfill all DFS responsibilities
  6. Plan on and off premise marketing and special events with DFS support and follow through
  7. Daily travel to communities
  8. All other duties as assigned by the VP of Food & Beverage or the COO.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Food/Beverage Service Administration or Institutional Food/Beverage Service Management preferred.
  • The Food Service Sanitation course must have been completed.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English, which is the predominant language of a majority of our residents.
  • Must be emotionally, mentally and physically able, with or without reasonable accommodations, to provide required services to residents, including verbally communicating with residents.
  • Must be able to listen attentively to residents' requests and preferences, ensuring exceptional customer service.
