Job Description

The Accounting, Cost & Fees EU team delivers solutions to the financial departments of our customers – banks and financial institutions worldwide. Our product helps accountants keep pace with the ever-increasing complexity of financial regulations: we translate demanding business requirements of both local and international accounting standards, such as HGB and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), into comprehensive and efficient software solutions. Apart from developing innovative solutions in response to regulatory changes, our tasks include maintaining existing software components and implementing our functionality for new clients or projects.

The Cost & Fees suite allows banks to manage and further develop their pricing models, thereby optimizing the revenue stream, in particular the collection of periodical and transactional charges and fees. Cost transparency reports required to meet regulatory requirements and a cost simulation suite are also part of the Cost & Fees product family.

You will join a group of highly skilled, motivated and dynamic people who enjoy taking ownership and responsibility for their contribution to the Avaloq ecosystem. Your key tasks 

• Requirement analysis and creation of specifications together with software developers, partners and customers
• Supporting developers during implementation
• Acting as the contact person concerning functional questions
• Maintaining product documentation in collaboration with our technical writers
• Supporting consulting projects, project implementations and sales workshops
• Follow and understand the end-to-end solution, including the knowledge on banking and backend solution

Qualifications

• University or FH degree in accounting/ banking / economics or equivalent experience
• Know-how in accounting, preferably in the banking field (e.g. HGB, IFRS, US GAAP)
• Open-minded, team-oriented, and communicative personality
• Professional communication skills in German and English
• Strong analytical abilities and high-quality awareness
• Structured and autonomous approach to work
• Ability to understand, abstract, and specify banking processes and requirements

It would be a real bonus if you have

• Previous experience within the banking environment
• Avaloq solutions knowledge
• Experience in software development
• Knowledge of the pricing related processes
