Senior Manager, Software Test Engineering (Salesforce QA)
Role Overview
We are seeking a forward-thinking Senior Test Manager to lead our Salesforce QA function with an automation-first mindset and a strong emphasis on AI-augmented testing. This role will drive quality excellence across Salesforce (Sales/Service Cloud; Classic & Lightning) and integrated web/mobile platforms, ensuring scalable automation, intelligent tooling, and cross-functional collaboration. You will lead a globally distributed team, champion shift-left testing, and influence product quality decisions through data-driven insights and executive-ready communication.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Leadership & Strategy
- Define and execute a modern QA strategy focused on automation-first, shift-left testing, and continuous quality engineering.
- Champion AI/GenAI adoption in QA (e.g., test generation, failure summarization, predictive analytics) with human-in-the-loop validation.
- Lead quality governance across Agile teams, embedding quality gates and metrics into CI/CD pipelines and sprint rituals.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and DevOps to align testing with business priorities, release readiness, and customer impact.
People Management & Development
- Manage and mentor a large team (>10) of QA engineers and vendor testers across different time zones.
- Drive career development through Individual Development Plans (IDPs), certifications (Salesforce, ISTQB, ACCELQ), and coaching culture.
- Foster psychological safety, inclusion, and continuous learning within the team.
- Promote cross-team knowledge sharing and QA community best practices.
Automation & Tooling
- Own the automation strategy using ACCELQ and complementary frameworks/tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Postman, BrowserStack).
- Ensure high automation coverage (target 85–90%) for regression flows and in-sprint test execution.
- Collaborate with DevOps to integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Copado, Jenkins) and enforce quality gates.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging AI-powered QA tools and platforms.
Test Execution & Delivery
- Lead planning and execution of functional, regression, integration, and UAT cycles.
- Ensure traceability and audit-ready documentation using Polarion ALM or Jira/Xray.
- Monitor and improve test stability, flakiness, and defect leakage through robust metrics and dashboards.
- Coordinate with performance, security, and accessibility teams to ensure holistic quality coverage.
Stakeholder Communication
- Deliver concise executive readouts, dashboards, and release recommendations.
- Facilitate decision-making with clear risk narratives and quality impact assessments.
- Align with global stakeholders across US, Europe, and India time zones.
Candidate Profile – Required
- 10+ years in software testing/QA, with 5+ years managing large QA teams
- Deep Salesforce QA experience (Sales/Service Cloud; Classic & Lightning) and integration testing.
- Proven leadership in automation strategy, team development, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Hands-on experience with Mulesoft, ACCELQ, Karate Polarion ALM, and CI/CD-integrated automation.
- Strong communication skills with executive presence and stakeholder influence.
Candidate Profile – Preferred
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., medical devices, GxP, CSA).
- Certifications: ISTQB Advanced/Test Manager, Salesforce Admin/App Builder, ACCELQ.
- Exposure to AI/GenAI tools in QA and experience leading pilot initiatives.
- Familiarity with Copado, BrowserStack, Jira/Xray, and modern automation frameworks.

Additional Information:
Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $153,700.00 - $230,500.00 This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
