ROLE SUMMARY:  
As a Merchandising & Space Planning Coordinator, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our Category Leadership team by executing best-in-class merchandise planning strategies. This role focuses on building impactful planograms for retail and wholesale partners that drive category growth and optimize shelf performance.

You’ll leverage a mix of internal tools, retail guidelines, and data analytics to craft smart product assortments and space layouts using JDA Space Planning software. Your work will influence key retail initiatives, ensuring shelves are stocked with the right products in the right places, at the right time.

This is a hands-on, data-driven role perfect for someone with a sharp eye for detail, strong analytical chops, and a passion for retail strategy. You’ll receive structured training in both space planning and category management to set you up for success, and industry certification opportunities are available to boost your credentials even further.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Support the Category Leadership in executing Merchandise Planning functions to produce Best in Class planograms for our retail and wholesale partners.
  • Develop and analyze merchandise assortments that deliver overall category growth through a combination of internal merchandising tools coupled with retailer-specified guidelines. 
  • Analyze retail and market-level data to develop planogram schematics utilizing the JDA Space Planning software platform.
  • Create relevant product assortments and optimal space planning that drive sales across the business.
  • Assist with administrative responsibilities prior to retail project sets such as data cleansing, planogram management, planogram retrieval, reviewing retail and category management guidelines, etc.
  • Structured space planning software and company overview training program provide basic industry and specific role knowledge prior to executing live merchandising planograms.
  • Certified JDA Space Planning training is available for space planning software, provides industry recognition and elevates the ability to work within the software. 
  • Certified Category Management web-based training available to assist with industry, analytical and category management skills.
  • Learn CPG industry-specific sales processes and merchandise strategies through collaborative projects.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Undergraduate or Graduate in the field of Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Retail Management, or other equivalent degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in business, marketing, or related field a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.  Access is a plus.
  • Excellent analytic skills
  • Ability to collaborate with a wide range of professionals, strong oral and written communication skills, good judgment, time-management skills, and creativity.
  • Excellent organizational skills/ability to prioritize
  • CPG industry or alcoholic beverage sales experience is a plus.
  • Flexible and capable of adapting to rapidly changing situations
  • Ability to follow established protocol and work independently or within a team
  • Ability to relocate is preferred.
