Position Summary
The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all materials and work performed meet the company’s standards of quality and comply with project specifications and regulatory requirements. This role involves inspecting and testing materials, coordinating quality assurance practices, and maintaining thorough documentation to support quality audits.
Essential Functions
- Conduct inspections
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality control records.
- Collaborate with project teams to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Review and interpret project specifications and engineering drawings.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and processes.
- Provide training and guidance to project staff on quality standards and best practices.
- Participate in quality audits and assist in preparing reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the workplace.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of industry standards, codes, regulations, and quality control practices.
- Experience with inspection tools and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CWI) are a plus.
