Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary

Supervise maintenance work in progress, provide guidance and support to technicians, and provide status updates to Maintenance Manager.

Report to:            Memphis Maintenance Manager

Supervises:         Yes (approximately 4 technicians)

Essential Duties and Functions

1. Adhere to all company policies including the ability to maintain an on-call status on either an intermittent or regularly scheduled basis.
2. Must be able to pass criminal background check, pre-hire physical including lifting and walking tests, and a pre-hire drug test.
3. Ability, willingness, and compliance to work safely & wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
4. Meet attendance expectations - must not have a pattern of tardiness, late arrivals and/or absences regardless of status of disciplinary actions.
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak with employees / vendors at any level in a professional manner (clear, complete, & concise).
6. Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision in collaboration and support of team objectives.
7. Visual acuity and excellent observation skills.
8. Ability to work rotating 12 hour shifts, OT, & weekends / holidays.
9. Ability to work in a hot, humid, noisy, & high-volume manufacturing environment, including ability to climb, bend, & stoop.
10. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, and stand for continuous periods of time.
11. Perform record keeping, as required.

13. Ensure compliance with OSHA and Company safety rules and regulations; communicate all non-compliance to immediate supervisor / manager.
14. Read and follow all Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Work Practices, Product Standards, and Work Orders to perform assigned tasks.
15. Maintain plant support systems in working order, i.e. heat, air, fans, air compressors and dryers, etc.
16. Ensure scheduled maintenance tasks / activities performed on equipment meet or exceed the manufacturer’s requirements for quality and reliability.
17. Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting.
18. Perform troubleshooting, equipment / facility repairs and replace components, as required.
19. Read and understand equipment manuals, technical references, machine drawings, schematic diagrams, and work orders to perform required maintenance.
20. Participate in the Maintenance Continuing Training Program, as directed.
21. Lead maintenance tasks and conduct shift performance reviews.
22. Proven effective and efficient leader of individuals and work teams, as well as work as a team member.
23. Keen organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced continuous manufacturing environment.
24. Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including proactive problem solving and resolution.
25. Coordinate with Production Department t
