POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a driven and creative problem solver to be a Senior Product Manager at Oportun Enterprise Data Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing Oportun’s data governance strategy that accelerates Oportun's journey of becoming a data driven organisation.Enterprise Data Technology is at the core of managing all of Oportun's data, helping data users at Oportun derive valuable insights faster. It plays a huge role in defining the strategy at every level in Oportun. • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the company’s vision and growth objectives. Identify market opportunities and set long-term product roadmaps.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead a high-performing cross-functional product team that includes engineering, design, data, marketing, and others to implement and build new capabilities and increase reliability and scalability. Drive strong collaboration and alignment up, down and sideways within the organization
• Customer Focus: Advocate for the customer by gathering and analyzing feedback, conducting market research, and leveraging data to drive product decisions.
• Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and impact. Use data-driven insights to optimize product performance and make informed decisions.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate product vision, strategy, and updates to executive leadership, board members, and other key stakeholders. Present compelling business cases and demonstrate the value of product investments.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
• Proven experience of 5+ yrs as a Senior Product Manager and must have at least 3+ years of experience in a data platform or technology-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of data technologies, data management, and data governance.
• High preference to candidates who have exposure to DBT, Databricks and data migration experience
• Excellent stakeholder management and organizational skills.
