Sr. Technical Consultant - Remote

Overview

The purpose of this role is the delivery of a high quality and high performing system to meet customers’ business needs based on Altera product set, leveraging your technical expertise to provide strategic guidance and implementation support.

 

Responsibilities

Data Conversion and Interface

• Demonstrate proficiency with Interface or data conversion development and implementation tools used by the team.
• Ability to build and maintain new tools sets.
• Negotiate Interface or data conversion specifications and plans for Implementation with customers/vendors for those that deviate from standard.
• Install software and interface definition on customer’s servers.
• Create test plan templates and test with customer/vendor to ensure that functionality meets the needs of the client.
• Provide interface and related workflow solutions within the guidelines of the interface team’s custom request procedures.
• Provide technical assistance to other business units in relation to interface development and installation.
• Provide training services for clients and employees.

 

Technical Consultant

• Applies detailed knowledge of Altera’s Ventus products and solutions within specific domains, functional or specialty areas, to implement Altera’s Ventus software at client sites.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Healthcare Revenue Cycle and HIS processes.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the delivery of software technology to clients using standard procedures.
• Development of new procedures and policies to improve services.
• Provide technical support during the implementation delivery process including triaging and

troubleshooting reported by client and implementation team.

• Install all software required for Ventus
• Developing Technical documentation to facilitate efficiency, document client implementations, and support department education objectives.
• Training clients and Ventus Staff as applicable.
• Meets or exceeds utilization targets set by the organization.
• Executes all tasks related to a contracted project role, within a specific domain, functional or specialty area independently. 
• Provides feedback to appropriate internal organizational groups on software and methodology improvements.
• Preferred Business and Technical Skills in one or more of the following:
  • Project Management
  • MaxiMUMPS or other programming languages
  • SQL
  • XML
  • HTML
  • CITRIX
  • Database Management
  • Networking
  • Computer Security
  • MS Excel, Word, and Access

 

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field, (Information Technology, Computer Science, Software, Engineering, or related technical discipline), or equivalent/years of experience preferred.

 

Experience:

• 4-7 years relevant work experience preferred.
• Experience with one or more of: STAR, Ventus Compliance Advisor, Ventus Contract Management, and Ventus Intelligent Coding applications is preferred.
• MaxiMUMPS, or other programming languages, SQL, Database Management is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills as this role is client-facing.

 

Travel Requirements:

• Up to 10% travel may be required.
• May require other travel for business needs.

 

Working Arrangements:

• Work is performed in a remote office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards.
• May require after-hours, on-call support and/or holidays.
