Facilities Coordinator
Location: Wallingford CT and surrounding area
Compensation: $25–$35 per hour

Are you a hands‑on problem solver who takes pride in keeping facilities running smoothly and safely? Join our team in Wallingford CT as our next Facilities Coordinator, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining a clean, efficient, and well‑organized work environment for our employees and visitors.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Cleans all designated interior spaces of the company facility, (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom, floors, trash removal, etc.).
- Performs minor repairs and maintenance needs within the facility.
- Maintain an “Off-business hours” schedule for cleaning floors, carpets and bathrooms
- Make recommendations for hiring outside vendors and coordinate the services they provide, such as plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Plowing and Lawn Care, recycling, vending machines, etc.
- Routine interior Painting
- Maintain facility maintenance equipment (i.e. vacuums, floor scrubbers)
- Orders supplies related to the care and maintenance of company facilities
- Implement preventative maintenance measures on Facility Systems (i.e. HVAC, sprinkler systems, etc.)
- Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
- Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
- Maintain Maintenance records for facility systems and support equipment
- Performs other special projects or duties as assigned.
- Receives all calls from company security alarm company after-hours.
Experience and Skills Required:
- High School Diploma, preferably vocational.
- A minimum of 2 years’ proven work experience in similar role required.
- 2-3 years’ trades experience (plumbing, electrical, mechanical) preferred.
- Valid drivers’ license required.
- Must have excellent internal and external customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to identify potential problems and make solid solution recommendations.
- Basic computer skills preferred, including word processing skills.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
Physical Job Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, lift (up to 50 pounds), and reach frequently.
- Must be able to climb a ladder.
- Must be able to use telephone and computer frequently.
