Summary:

The Product Manager III is typically responsible for a larger product or set of products that make up a larger solution. They are responsible for creating successful outcomes related to the product(s) they manage by defining product roadmap and guiding the work of one or more development teams (possibly in collaboration with one or more Product Owners). The Product Manager III must have a very good understanding of their product(s) and will own the roadmap and product deliverables for those product(s). They are expected to uncover and prioritize unmet user needs, lead product roadmap planning sessions, and ensure successful outcomes for their product or area of influence within a larger solution.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • Deliver business value through a robust, prioritized, and appropriately sequenced roadmap 

    • Lead the end-to-end delivery of product enhancements and other changes to ensure the product meets the needs of internal and external stakeholders 

    • Use data, customer insight, and intuition to identify and plan product improvements that will improve the customer experience, and increase the value of the solution to the business 

    • Own the GTM strategy for every release by defining target customer segments, release timing, customer communications, and help in ensuring the readiness of customer support and success teams 

    • Communicate early and often with product management leadership to help coordinate work across teams, helping ensure that changes in their area do not negatively impact other teams or other features within the larger solution 

    • Actively collaborate with product management leadership and provide insight into higher-level cross-product roadmap and solution strategy 

    • Collaborate with key stakeholders and other teams to understand user needs then devise and prioritize solutions in collaboration with their team(s) to meet those needs 

    • Familiarity with competitor products, their value propositions and capabilities 

    • Act as a leader within their product(s) and an evangelist of those product(s) across the company 

    • Engage with customers early and often to understand requirements, able understand and apply information from user feedback sessions, and demonstrate new functionality to end users where appropriate 

    • Perform other duties as assigned 

    Required Skills and Communications:

    • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization (directors, managers, engineers, quality assurance analysts, end users, etc.)

    • Proven ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority 

    • Ability to self-learn and seek out knowledge to improve understanding of technology solutions 

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail 

    • Strong problem solving, planning, analysis, teamwork, and organizational skills 

    • Confident presentation skills in small and large groups 

    • Excellent discovery and active listening skills
