About the Role

In this opportunity as Lead QA Engineer, you will:

  • Deliver end-to-end testing solutions for multiple web applications running in Microsoft Azure Cloud
  • Lead routine projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
  • Lead QA effort across multiple teams, including interfacing with offshore contractors
  • Train and mentor more junior colleagues
  • Solve complex problems with minimal guidance
  • Influence and articulate compelling QA solutions for customers and products
  • Be responsible for planning, designing, maintaining and executing test cases with minimal direction
  • Advise middle management on functional matters, or on interpretation of policies and practices
  • Bring up risks to manager in a timely fashion and prepare for contingency
  • Be responsible for planning, designing, maintaining and executing test cases with minimal direction
  • Work with different project teams to ensure functional/regression test suite is up to date and remains relevant
  • Be responsible to ensure functional testing and automation of client applications is completed before releasing each product version
  • Provide input to department objectives and goals of a sub-Business Unit or function
  • Interact and negotiate effectively with internal or external customers
  • Work with Product Management team during estimation meetings, requirements gathering, and design writing process


About You

You’re a fit for the role of Lead QA Engineer if your background includes:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is (preferred)
  • 6+ years' experience in a related field, including regression testing, automation testing, test case design etc.
  • Experience with Java and the Selenium automation framework is preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server/relational databases is preferred
  • Explain difficult concepts and influence others to adopt a point of view for ideas and initiatives
  • Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision 
  • Communicate effectively by adjusting communication style to audience
  • Lead routine projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
  • Train and mentor more junior colleagues
  • Proven experience with the full software development lifecycle from planning to implementation and maintenance
