Position title: Cup Forming Mechanic/Maintenance Tech
The Production Mechanic will have the responsibility for installing, maintaining, and repair of equipment utilized in the process for manufacturing paper cups, tubes and bowls, plastic lids, and other packaging materials.
Available shifts:
1st shift Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
2nd shift Monday- Friday 3pm- 11pm
3rd shift Monday- Thursday 3pm- 11pm Fridays as scheduled
Job location: Sturtevant, WI
Pay:
1st shift BOE $30-36/hr.BOE up to $32/hr + $1/hr shift premium (2nd shift) and $2/hr on 3rd shift
Duties:
- Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, heating systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, pneumatic tools, welding equipment, power material moving equipment.
- Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective components, replacing worn parts.
- Lubricate machinery, change parts, or perform other routine machinery maintenance.
- Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment.
- Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
- Collect and discard worn machine parts and others refuse to maintain machinery and work areas.
- Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
- Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
- Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
- Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
- Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.
- Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.
- Operate equipment to demonstrate proper use or to analyze malfunctions.
- Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation procedures.
- Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure that it functions properly.
- Responsible for maintaining high quality standards and supporting food safety and product quality.
Requirements
- Ability to read tape measure
- Ability to work overtime
- Knowledge in 5S, Mathematical Computations, Problem Solving Skills, Metric System and FANUC & Mitsubishi Controllers
- Must have strong problem solving abilities
- Must be mechanically inclined able to use basic hand tools, wrenches, socket set, screwdrivers; Calipers is a plus
