The Informatics and Predictive Sciences (IPS) mission is to Pioneer, Partner and Predict to drive transformative insights for patient benefit. IPS conducts applied computational research in areas that include genomic, structural and molecular informatics, computational and systems biology, patient selection and translational biomarker research, and broader fields including knowledge science, epidemiology and machine learning—across the full lifecycle of drug discovery and development and across all therapeutic areas at BMS. The Senior Project Coordinator within Informatics & Predictive Sciences serves as a key partner to the SVP of IPS and the IPS Leadership team. This individual will provide key business and project management capabilities to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of IPS throughout the department’s locations. This individual reports to the Head of IPS and provides project management coordination, reporting, events management for the IPS department. This role will also be responsible for administrative support to the Head of IPS (~30% of role).
The role will a hybrid role located in Cambridge MA, with a minimum of 50% of time on site.

SVP and Head IPS
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Project Management support of IPS initiatives as required, including:
- Utilizations of tools and platforms to facilitate effective and targeted communication to members of IPS
- Providing contracting support to the IPS team including raising Purchase Orders on behalf of team members.
- Data collection to support goal driven establishment and expansion of the IPS collaboration and community
- With IPS Leadership, designing IPS initiatives to drive engagement across the locations
- Facilitating IPS based change management initiatives and compliance (e.g. time tracking, learning curriculum)
- Project Management support of IPS meetings and Events as required, including:
- Leading the event and logistics planning for critical IPS meetings and events , such as the twice-yearly scientific forums with external academics
- Major IPS department meetings and events planning and coordination and materials preparation
- Generating first-draft agendas for IPS leadership and team meetings and taking meeting minutes and tracking key actions.
- Leading with a team mindset: being an active partner and/or mentor to roles with related responsibilities in the IPS, and team member to peers at other BMS locations.
- Support both the Head of IPS and with day-to-day operations including but not limited to: travel planning, expense reporting, calendar management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or the equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience, biotech/pharmaceutical industry preferred
