How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Site Leader is responsible and accountable for developing the overall operating strategy for the High Springs site in concert with the other functional leaders and executing that strategy. In alignment with the ALAM site strategy the High Spring Site is investing in new assets and technology to support the production of key molecules necessary in the manufacturing of Semiconductor Chips. The proper project implementation and move to steady state operation of the new assets is critical to successfully executing the ALAM business strategy.The Site Leader aligns the annual Site goals to the site strategy, cascades the goals and then supports the teams with the direction, resources and motivation to achieve or exceed the goals. Key Process Indicator generation and tracking is critical to enable short interval control with clear accountability. Site Leaders will report to the Country GM and will be accountable for all operational activities at their respective sites such as HSE, Quality, Regulatory Compliance, Supply Chain, Production, Maintenance, Logistics, Cost Control, ”Small size” Projects and Site Planning.
The Site Leader must lead in a way which demonstrates the importance of the “what” and the “how”. She must lead her team to implement change in a feedback rich environment which generates mutual respect and committed team members. Results must be achieved in a sustainable fashion. The Site Leader is expected to be able to thrive in a fast paced and very dynamic environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Sets clear direction for the organization by providing pinpointed expectations for HSE, quality and productivity performance.

Is able to lead the team to develop processes and systems to achieve sustainable results. Does not rely on brute force techniques. Builds the strength of the management systems so results are sustainable.

Makes decisions with a view towards what is best for Air Liquide Advanced Materials, what is best for the plant, what is best for the individual. Seeks win/win outcomes.

Takes action to resolve gaps between performance and goals. Holds the Site Teams accountable for delivering on their goals. Rewards and recognizes performance which generates sustainable results..

Works across direct and matrix organization to ensure common goals are achieved for Site(s) (LOPC, TRI, OTIF, FTR, OEE, Gross Margin)

Are you a MATCH?
Required Qualifications:
BS in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience
7+ years of progressive people leadership experiences in a chemicals manufacturing setting
Speciality chemical, food or pharmaceutical plant operations experience
Experience working in a high volume manufacturing environment.
Experience working with highly hazardous chemicals; toxic, flammable, pyrophoric
Progressive leadership experience with people responsibility
Demonstrated ability to execute transformations of organizations and sites through establishing clear Direction, ensuring the right Competencies are in place, the right tools and time to succeed and the right Motivation is in place.
Demonstrated ability to develop people into new roles in the organization
Working knowledge of Process Safety methodologies; Loss Prevention, LOPA and HAZOP, PSM or RMP
Strong root cause investigation and analysis
Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task
Self-starter with the ability to perform well under pressure and changing priorities
