Compensation: This is a non-exempt position, with $4,875 monthly during the probationary period. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, the monthly base rate will increase to $5,416.67.
Role Summary: The Accountant role is a fully onsite position, 5 days a week in our Midtown office. This position serves as an integral part of our Accounting department. You will be assisting the Accounting team with finance and payroll projects. The ideal candidate needs to be willing to take initiative to tackle current obstacles in the finance and accounting area of the company to improve efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain company bank accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions to the monthly report
- Provide information to employees, agents, and managers on payroll matters and taxation issues
- Balance the general ledger and prepare company account cash flow statements to the monthly income statement
- Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable, and related monthly reports
- Analyze current payment processing situations of potential clients by interpreting processing statements for the corresponding affiliates
- Keep informed about changes in corporate tax and individual income tax regulations that apply to the payroll process
- Utilize statistics and principles of accounting and finance to analyze the past and present financial operations
- Accounting projects, reporting, and other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire. We are an E-Verify employer!
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
- Strong problem-solving skills; critical thinking, detail-oriented, and analytical.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- 1 year of experience in Quickbooks is required; at least 6 months experience with Sage Intacct is preferred.
- Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office
