Head of Product management/Senior Manager, with product manager experience - Aarhus

We are looking for a strong people leader with product manager experience to lead our team of dedicated and skilled product managers in Arla Denmark. You will join a Marketing department with 50 passionate colleagues based in Aarhus and report to the Category Director of ‘Cheese, BSM & Cooking’, Jacob Skovgaard Jørvad.

 

How you will make an impact

You will be overall responsible for the product manager area in Arla Denmark including a team of 8 product managers and product coordinators. You will lead and drive the overall agenda within the product management area including prioritization of tasks, create knowledge sharing and best practice, and together with the team drive future optimization opportunities.

 

You will have a large contact base, working with many different stakeholders from Global product management to our dairies and PM functions in other countries. You will also be working very closely with our brands & category teams, as they are the primary stakeholders. Here you will ensure, through close collaboration, that you and the team support the categories, brands & product portfolio, to secure we meet the needs of the categories and consumers, while brining in the production and packaging feasibility perspective.

 

Additionally, You will together with the team be involved in securing that that new concepts and product innovations get in the market. The areas of responsibility as Head of Product Management will be:

 

• Lead, coach and develop your team to ensure that we deliver on the agreed business results
• Provide thought leadership and in depth-knowledge on packaging opportunities, production feasibility, data system requirements etc.
• Align and prioritize PM tasks across the team, and assure resources are allocated where they are
  needed
• Collaborate closely with the marketing leadership team, dairies and category/brand teams to ensure smooth execution and overall transparency on the PM agenda
• Lead selected larger cross category PM tasks in close collaboration with the team
• Ensure strong PM support across the different category innovation pipelines

 

What will make you successful

With your profound can-do-attitude, you know how to coach your team to ensure strong support and execution of day to day PM tasks, and you bring an open and proactive mindset. You can easily shift between operational and strategic tasks, allowing you to look into details while at the same time keeping the big picture.

 

Moreover, you:

• Come with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Project Management, or a related field and +3 years of experience within Product Management in a complex organisational setup
• Have leadership experience and/or several years of experience working with projects or process optimization
• Have experience with tools 3DI, PIM, Project planner, GS1 etc.
• Have a strong track record in delivering business results, and the ability to understand the details while still be pragmatic on your problem solving
• Speak and write English effortlessly
