Job Description Summary:

Positions in this job family are responsible for identifying, analyzing and improving existing general business processes within an organization to meet business goals. Activities include:

• Identifying, planning, and implementing organization process improvements to reduce costs, defects/errors, rework, etc.
• Introducing new methods and processes to improve product/service quality and customer satisfaction
• Promoting and sharing best practices that sustain business process improvement across the organization

ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

• Typically manages department, business unit, small sub-function within a geography or line of business. Establishes and implements strategies that have short to mid-term (1-3 years) impact on business results. Develops short to mid-term (1-3 years) plans for optimizing the organization and the talent required to execute strategies in job area
• As a people manager provides leadership through managers and senior managers. May also have lower level directors reporting in
• As an individual contributor considered master in professional discipline within the organization. Coaches other professionals in skills, delegates work to them and reviews it
• Problems and issues faced can be complex and may require broad-based consideration of variables that impact multiple areas of the organization

INNOVATION & COMPLEXITY

• Responsible for improving upon existing processes and systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation. Solutions are novel and unique and drawing upon best practices based on expertise
• Extensively analyzes problems to seek understanding of the root cause of the problem

COMMUNICATION & INFLUENCE

• Requires ability to convince others within and outside of the organization to agree/accept new concepts, practices, and approaches impacting sub-functional/business strategy
• May be required to negotiate regarding operational issues
• Requires ability to communicate with senior leadership on matters of strategic importance to the organization
• Conducts briefings with senior leaders within the job function
• May conduct briefings with senior leaders outside of the job function

KNOWLEDGE

• Typically requires a University Degree (Master or MBA ideally) or equivalent experience
• Typically requires 10 to 12 years of prior relevant experience
• Recognized thought leader mastering professional discipline

Pay Range:

$224,100 - $257,600

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
