Join the team and create the future of customer experience together.</p><p></p><p>The Conversational AI group are seeking a <b>Senior Software Engineer</b> to join the team and drive the development of cutting-edge conversational AI solutions with a focus on Generative AI systems at global scale (reaching over 8,000 organizations in 100+ countries). In this role, you will design, build, and optimize AI-driven systems that interact intelligently and autonomously with users and other systems. If you are passionate about building next-generation AI applications and have a strong background in software engineering, distributed systems, and AI development, we’d love to hear from you. </p><p></p><p><b>What You Will Do:</b> </p><ul><li><p>Design, develop, and maintain agentic AI systems that power conversational interfaces. </p></li><li><p>Architect and optimize large-scale AI pipelines for real-time and asynchronous interactions. </p></li><li><p>Develop high-performance, scalable, and reliable backend systems to support AI-driven applications. </p></li><li><p>Collaborate with AI researchers, data scientists, and product teams to translate cutting-edge research into production-grade solutions. </p></li><li><p>Build and integrate LLM-powered agents capable of multi-turn reasoning, decision-making, and task execution. </p></li><li><p>Implement best practices for scalability, security, and reliability in AI-driven applications. </p></li><li><p>Develop and maintain APIs and microservices for AI-powered applications as part of our wider platform. </p></li><li><p>Write efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code and tests. </p></li><li><p>Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers to maintain high development standards. </p></li><li><p>Learn about enhancing conversational models through fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, and prompt engineering. </p></li><li><p>Learn about the latest advancements in conversational AI, agentic AI, and NLP. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What We're Looking For:</b> </p><ul><li><p>Ideally, a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related disciplines. However, this is not a hard requirement as we recognise there are many diverse paths into software careers. </p></li><li><p>4+ years of professional software development experience.</p></li><li><p>Strong proficiency in Python.</p></li><li><p>Expertise in software engineering principles, system architecture, and distributed computing. </p></li><li><p>Proficiency in building and maintaining highly available and scalable APIs and microservices. </p></li><li><p>Experience deploying and scaling using cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). </p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and caching strategies. </p></li><li><p>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Desirable Experience or an Interest in Learning:</b> </p><ul><li><p>Hands on experience with AI/ML systems. </p></li><li><p>Experience of developing REST API’s using frameworks such as FastAPI, Spring Boot, or Flask-RESTX. </p></li><li><p>Experience with real-time AI-driven applications (e.g., chatbots, voice assistants, AI copilots). </p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience with LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Mistral), fine-tuning, and prompt engineering. </p></li><li><p>Experience with AI agent frameworks (e.g., Bedrock, LangChain, AutoGPT, OpenAI Function Calling). </p></li><li><p>Experience with multi-agent systems and autonomous reasoning frameworks. </p></li><li><p>Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS) for embedding-based retrieval. </p></li><li><p>Contributions to open-source AI projects, research publications, or patents in AI/ML. </p></li></ul><p></p><p>If you are excited about pushing the boundaries of conversationa
