It is a very exciting time of growth for our Global Payments team, and we are currently hiring a Software Development Manager (Java technologies) to provide technical leadership for our Java development team. Quisitive's payments services provide robust, cost-effective and secure payment processing.  Our flagship product, PayiQ, is an innovative payment processing and data insights product whose solutions are designed to optimize merchant payment processing and consumer engagement operations.  

This role can be located anywhere in the United States.

The Software Development Manager is responsible for providing day to day management of the Java development team, including architecting, designing, and developing payments solutions using Java.

What will my role be?

As a Software Development Manager, you will manage a team of Java developers.  You will provide technical leadership in the development life cycle including architecture and design support for your team members.  In addition, you will also be responsible for managing a team.  This includes mentoring, coaching, technical guidance and other HR related responsibilities.  

What's required?

• A passion for technology and a desire for continuous learning and improvement
• At least 2 years of experience managing team(s) of developers
• 8-10 years of professional Java/Groovy skills with recognition of terse, performant, and maintainable code
• Ability to develop, maintain, and extend high performance, server-based systems deployed in a Linux environment
• Good skills with distributed load-balanced systems, socket communication, and multithreaded processing
• Ability to work within a small, productive team in an Agile environment
• Understanding of cryptography mechanisms and secure programming practices
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Experience in CI/CD and Docker containers required
• Experience working in the Payments industry required
