Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced International Sourcing Leader specializing in machined hardware for the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the Indian marketplace, demonstrating a deep understanding of its business culture and operational nuances. This role is critical for driving global sourcing strategies, ensuring the highest quality and cost efficiency, and fostering strong supplier relationships within the aerospace sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Global Sourcing Strategy:

• Develop and implement comprehensive international sourcing strategies for machined hardware components specific to the aerospace industry. 
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, with a strong focus on the Indian market, to ensure alignment with the company's quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

Supplier Management:

• Establish and maintain robust relationships with key suppliers, ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to achieve the best value while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.

Market Analysis:

• Conduct thorough market analysis to stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape within the aerospace sector.
• Analyze the Indian marketplace to identify opportunities and risks, leveraging cultural insights to enhance supplier engagement and performance.

Quality Assurance:

• Collaborate with internal quality assurance teams to develop and enforce strict quality control processes.
• Monitor supplier performance through regular audits and assessments, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Cost Management:

• Implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality and delivery timelines.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure seamless integration of sourced components into the production process.
• Lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving efforts related to sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management.

Cultural Competence:

• Utilize deep understanding of Indian business culture to facilitate effective communication and negotiation with local suppliers.
• Provide cultural training and insights to internal teams to enhance international collaboration and efficiency.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in international sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within the aerospace industry.
• Proven track record of successful sourcing from the Indian marketplace, with a deep understanding of its cultural and business practices.
