Senior Software Engineer – Scheduling

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team of developers building the next generation of Scheduling features. You are a senior level developer who demonstrates design and engineering excellence and has experience with backend services for web applications, preferably in public and private cloud environments. You are an excellent communicator and nimble learner who embraces the challenges and complexity of working in the healthcare space.
The Team
We’re building the next generation of online scheduling solutions. These solutions streamline and improve the accuracy of the process for providers and their patients. As a part of this team, you’ll be writing code that constantly improves these experiences for millions of patients. Know that your work matters by building software that makes a difference in the lives of real people.
You’ll be part of a full-stack team as a backend-focused developer. Your job is to develop scalable API solutions to support provider-facing front-ends. We aspire to use all the usual industry best practices such as continuous delivery and iterative agile methodologies. We do two-week sprints and rollout our features quickly to a subset of our customers for feedback as they mature.
Job Responsibilities
- Write, debug, deploy, and support code in production; deliver timely fixes
- Build, enhance, and maintain backend APIs, microservices, and macroservices
- Adhere to DoD (story definition of done) as part of the sprint, including unit tests, functional testing, code reviews, no regressions, bug fixes, documentation and adhere to best coding practices
Typical Qualifications
- 4+ years of software engineering backend experience using .Net framework (C# preferred) or Java
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, preferably healthcare-related
- Strong foundation in REST API development
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in cloud services, preferably Azure or AWS
- Proficiency with databases, especially relational DBs. Cosmos or Redis familiarity is a plus
- Experience with Agile and CI/CD tech, such as Jenkins
- Knowledge of front-end development tech like React, Javascript, or GraphQL is a plus
- Experience working with test frameworks, such as Playwright or Cypress, is a bonus
- Ability to write code that is technically sound, performant, scalable, and readable
