The Benefits team designs and manages employee benefits programs, ensuring competitive rewards and a positive employee experience. We work to attract and retain talent by offering a comprehensive package including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other perks. We also handle benefit enrollment, communication, and ongoing administration, resolving employee inquiries and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Job Description
Note: This is a hybrid role and candidate must reside in the Chicagoland area with the ability to travel into our Chicago or Schaumburg offices.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, implement and support health and welfare benefit policies and programs across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America, ensuring proper consideration is given to market practice, local legislation and any local employee consultation requirements
- Conduct market research and industry benchmarking analysis to aid in the design of health and welfare benefit strategies and programs
- Build relationships and manage health and welfare vendors/programs on a day to day basis including contracting, service delivery, payment, metrics and reporting
- Work with the corporate benefit and legal teams to ensure compliance with established health and welfare benefit philosophy, guidelines and programs
- Provide guidance and advice to HR business partners and business clients in the deployment of health and welfare benefit policies, guidelines and programs
- Design and implement effective communication and education strategies for health and welfare benefit programs across the region
- Engage with in-country leaders to determine how to maximize the impact of health and welfare benefit programs on the lives of their employees
- Build a strategic partnership with global health and welfare benefit brokers, focusing on developing market competitive and innovative programs
- Ensure operational and administrative processes are effective and help to identify and implement process improvements
- Provide critical issue support to HR colleagues and employees in the region addressing concerns and issues in line with our cultural values
- Lead the wellness agenda for the region, select vendors, and oversee delivery of on-site programs to ensure alignment with program goals and philosophy
- Maintain an excellent working knowledge of the health and welfare benefit landscape and industry best practices
- Lead the health and welfare benefit plan harmonization/integration process for new acquisitions
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Regional experience required with particular emphasis on the U.S., Canada, and Latin America
- Highly collaborative team player and partner, focused on doing the right thing for employees and supporting the growth of the business
- Mix of hands-on, operational and design/strategy experience
- Solid knowledge of benefit programs from market positioning to administrative details
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships and credibility with business leaders
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement, present well formulated points of view and to justify ideas with good data
- Highly change oriented and able to prioritize
- Demonstrated project management experience and the ability to work to tight deadlines with multiple priorities and across multiple countries
- Strategic benefits vendor management experience
- Self starter and able to work with a high degree of autonomy as part of a small global team
Target Base Salary Range: $98,100 - $196, 200 USD
