Description Overview

Perrigo is searching for a full-time experienced Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Global Financial Reporting Team to be located at our new North American Headquarters in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, the Analyst is responsible for gathering and preparing financial information for Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting, is actively involved in the monthly financial close process and other special projects. The ideal candidate will maintain a high level of professionalism and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment with the capability to engage across all levels in the organization. The Analyst will interact regularly with other internal departments (Legal, Tax, Investor Relations, Financial Planning and Analysis, Internal Audit, and Business Units), global subsidiaries, coordinate with external auditors, and have high visibility and exposure to senior management. This role will provide a variety of significant growth, development, and advancement opportunities.

Scope of the Role

  • Own the preparation of financial statements reporting, footnotes and related disclosures to support quarterly, annual and other SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 11-K, Proxy, 8-Ks)
  • Propose, implement and evolve reporting disclosures that comply with regulatory requirements by monitoring and researching changes in US GAAP and SEC requirements and performing peer analysis
  • Advance internal and external deliverables by leveraging evolving financial reporting system capabilities thru pragmatic and collaborative solutions
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors to efficiently complete interim and annual audit procedure, control activities, and other events
  • Complete recurring census reporting and other ad-hoc reports
  • Participate in significant transactions such as acquisitions and other special team projects and analysis

Experience Required

  • Broad knowledge of SEC accounting, reporting regulations and finance statement disclosure requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP
  • Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and manage tight deadlines, balance multiple priorities and quickly shift between responsibilities thru proven time-management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, continuous-improvement and strategic-thinking skills
  • Interest in working across functions to build strong relationships working in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented and complete work with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong financial reporting IT system proficiency required. Experience with SAP, AO, Workiva, including iXBRL tagging, or parallel platform is preferred
