ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Airs live and pre-recorded shows
- Completes traffic logs and fixes logging discrepancies
- Airs emergency alert system tests as indicated
- Engineers’ remote broadcasts andfollowsstation procedures.
- Regulates timing of programs,operatessyndicated programming, and plays commercials and promotions as scheduled
- Off-air support of commercial production, dubbing music to hard disk and programming automation computers
- Monitors and updates weather, traffic, and news reportsintoautomation equipment
- Monitors station contest
- Performs on-air announcements orshifts asassigned
- Assistswith remote appearances
- Takestransmitter readings andmaintainstransmitter logs
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and effectively manage time
- Self-starter, with the ability to take and follow direction
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with the station’s clients and listeners
- Can work well independently and as an integral part of the team
- Ability to stand forlong periodsof time, and lift/move up to 50lbs
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Six months of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays
