ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Airs live and pre-recorded shows
• Completes traffic logs and fixes logging discrepancies
• Airs emergency alert system tests as indicated
• Engineers’ remote broadcasts andfollowsstation procedures. 
• Regulates timing of programs,operatessyndicated programming, and plays commercials and promotions as scheduled
• Off-air support of commercial production, dubbing music to hard disk and programming automation computers
• Monitors and updates weather, traffic, and news reportsintoautomation equipment
• Monitors station contest

• Performs on-air announcements orshifts asassigned
• Assistswith remote appearances
• Takestransmitter readings andmaintainstransmitter logs

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: 

• Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and effectively manage time
• Self-starter, with the ability to take and follow direction
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with the station’s clients and listeners
• Can work well independently and as an integral part of the team
• Ability to stand forlong periodsof time, and lift/move up to 50lbs

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Six months of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays
