Description: 

As our Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for the performance of maintenance, inspections, and repairs of company aircraft in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR's), the aircraft manufacturer and with company policies, standards and procedures. You'll assist with the operational support of aircraft, ground support equipment, facility operations and facility shop equipment. You'll also be responsible for the accurate and timely performance of all duties assigned and may be frequently expected to perform tasks undirected.

You'll perform maintenance, inspection and repair of aircraft systems and associated equipment per FAA and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) approved data to provide safe, reliable transportation; perform duplicate inspections on all aircraft maintenance requiring dual sign off as per approved inspection guidelines; ensure the cleanliness of the aircraft and the hangar facility; and assist in maintaining the security of the aircraft and the hangar facility.

You'll perform Aircraft Flight Technician duties on extended international flights when assigned and promptly report all safety and/or environmental hazards to supervisory personnel. This opportunity also involves assisting in the performance of administrative tasks relating to aircraft maintenance. In addition, you'll effectively communicate with OEM Field Services to facilitate safe, cost-effective resolution of aircraft system problems.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, pre-flight/ post-flight inspections, and replacement of parts of company operated aircraft.
  • Meet arriving and dispatch departing aircraft
  • Variable work schedule is required, and the Technician will rotate through weekend duty, early and late shift duties, as well as regular day shift as needed.
  • Work as an integral part of the maintenance team to complete tasks and inspections to ensure operation of flight schedule in a safe and regulatory compliant manner.
  • Maintain training in Hazard Communication, Hazardous Materials, and all other company required training subjects.
  • Ability (with or without a reasonable accommodation) to perform airport support roles as needed including light facility maintenance including general hangar maintenance / cleaning, various small repairs, changing light bulbs, sweeping hangar floors, etc.
  • Maintaining aircraft records, safety forms, regulatory compliance items, and other required documentation using Excel, Word, Outlook, CMP. net, and other computer programs on a regular basis.
  • Assume duties of the Lead Technician on an as-needed basis to cover for absences due to vacation, training events, or other planned events.
  • Ability to travel with the aircraft and to industry related business events

Qualifications: 

  • 5 years of aviation maintenance experience required
  • Aircraft maintenance experience and training on Gulfstream G650ER aircraft highly preferred
  • Currently hold a valid FAA Airframe and Power Plant license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport 
  • Currently hold an IA certificate is preferred
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and CMP. Net
  • Experience working within Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Willing to work all days of the week, including holidays and weekends to meet specific flight schedules per established work guidelines
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills
  • Supervisory experience leading employees
  • Experience operating various types of equipment and vehicles consisting of; forklift and aircraft tugs
  • Responds resourcefully, flexibly, and positively when faced with challenges and demands
  • Generates effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions
  • Actively communicates and takes time to safely perform work to protect our people and environment
  • Willingness and ability (with or without a reasonable accommodation) to perform/comply with following:
    • Lift a stationary weight of 50lbs from bench level to a shelf 18 inches above bench level
    • Climb heights to work from scissor lifts, stands and ladders
