Job Description
The Global Brand Lead, Neuroscience is responsible for driving the creation and execution of the early commercial strategy for our company's emerging pipeline in Neuroscience. This role works closely with R&D colleagues to define commercially viable product development and LCM strategies – either through internal efforts or business development pursuits. This role will closely collaborate with country colleagues and the product cross-functional teams to develop commercial strategies and robust forecasts for in-flight and emerging discovery programs.
The Director, Global Brand Lead is focused on developing a future-focused view of company's Neuroscience business, fueling the growth of the discovery pipeline, and shaping the positioning of company's pipeline for future launches. This requires a deep partnership with research and business development colleagues to identify and prioritize areas of interest and develop differentiated products addressing unmet medical needs.
This position drives cross-functional strategy development across other critical stakeholder functions including Policy, Medical Affairs, Communications, Market Access & Pricing, Outcomes Research, Competitive Intelligence, Global Forecasting, and many others. This position works closely with key country and regional New Product Leaders across a diverse array of global markets.
Moreover, the occupant of this role will be the Global Brand Lead for multiple assets leading the Global Commercial Teams (GCTs). The individual will also represent the Commercial voice on the discovery/project teams and development teams.
The ideal candidate for this position is an innovative thinker who excels in strategic framing, new product planning, and navigating early pipeline development. They should have a proven track record of successfully developing robust commercial strategies to feed into drug development and launch plans while engaging and leading teams across the organization. Key Responsibilities include:
Commercial leadership as Global Brand Lead for >2 pipeline assets in Neurology
Develop global commercial strategies for assets leveraging our company's go-to-market frameworks and collaborating closely with global and country commercial teams.
Provide commercial guidance into pipeline programs to ensure products are competitively differentiated, can achieve access goals, and have appropriate data to support value proposition and marketing claims
Defining overarching commercial ambition and strategy for internal pipeline working closely with Commercial and R&D teams
Lead forecasting for assets working together with insights and analytics team, driving critical thinking into key assumptions across priority markets
Drive development of TPPs that support global pricing and access goals and can drive meaningful adoption
Build and maintain strong subject area knowledge through in-depth customer and market insights to ensure our company is leveraging its competitive advantages to develop differentiated, value-add products.
Conduct commercial evaluation of business development opportunities under evaluation
Develop a coordinated perspective of commercial opportunity space and prioritization, engage across all commercial teams to align one voice, and represent commercial in interactions with R&D teams.
Background for the role:
This role is for someone with:
Expertise in commercialization of a therapeutic area, which could include primary care and specialty care. Experience in Neurology (e.g. Alzheimer’s) strongly preferred.
Strong experience in strategic thinking and approaching complex problems with a good balance of structure, curiosity, and practicality. It is key to be able to cut through complexity to get to a tangible outcome.
An ability to lead and collaborate with broad and complex teams of stakeholders—across divisions, functions, and geographies.
An excellent written / verbal communication and presentation approach to all levels of an organization.
Commercial / Business acumen; previously identified as a future leader or participant in internal leadership programs.
