Material Handler - 2nd Shift

 

Metals USA has an immediate opening for a Material Handler -2nd Shift to load metal materials into a truck using an overhead crane in our Tulsa, OK facility. The Material Handler, under limited supervision, performs duties related to the storage and movement of inventory or equipment; reports to lead material handler or group leader.

 

• Receives and places/returns items into stock inventory locations
• Tags material for proper identification
• Pulls and assembles customer orders in order of delivery
• Operates yard truck for the purpose of loading and unloading trailers
• Operates cranes to put up stock in bins or load/unload trailers
• Operates forklift (5k or 10k) to load/unload trailers
• Completes work order paperwork/documentation
• Restocks material

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Reading and writing ability in English (to read instructions, tickets, safety and policies manuals)
• Measuring skills to read and convert English and Metric systems
• Arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions
• Minimum experience of six (6) months experience as Material Handler, Warehouse Helper, Truck Loader or Construction 
• Prefer experience of six (6) months operating an overhead crane
• Must be able to pass forklift certification by Metals USA on 5k and 10k forklifts
• Candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
