Parts Specialist
The Parts Specialist is responsible for ensuring the right parts are available at the right time to support uptime, preventive maintenance, and rapid response to equipment failures. This role owns spare parts inventory accuracy, vendor coordination, kitting for PMs, and material flow to maintenance technicians—directly enabling reliability and speed in a highly automated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end to end spare parts management for automation, MHE, controls, and facilities equipment
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, min/max settings, and reorder points
- Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Ensure critical spares are identified, stocked, and protected against obsolescence risk
- Kit parts for PMs, corrective work orders, and shutdown activities
- Stage materials to support planned maintenance execution
- Support technicians during breakdowns by rapidly issuing required parts
- Track parts usage and failure trends to support reliability improvements
- Manage vendor relationships for maintenance parts and consumables
- Place purchase orders and track lead times and backorders
- Support EOY procurement closures and cost‑control initiatives
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and payment terms
- Maintain CMMS accuracy for parts, BOMs, and equipment associations
- Support asset hierarchy and spare part mapping
- Provide reporting on inventory value, turns, stockouts, and critical spares
This role works closely with the following teams:
- Maintenance Technicians
- Maintenance Control Planner
- Reliability / Asset Engineer
- Procurement & Finance
- Operations Leadership
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-3 years of experience in maintenance parts, storeroom, or industrial inventory management
- Experience in automated DCs, manufacturing, or material handling environments preferred
- Strong CMMS experience (Maximo, SAP PM, Infor, or similar)
- Working knowledge of automation components (motors, drives, PLC parts, sensors, belts, chains)

Hiring Range:
$25.08 USD - $31.35 USD per hourIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
