Role overview: 

In your position as Senior DevOps Engineer, you will lead the development and optimization of our cloud-native platforms, enabling high-performance data and AI solutions. You’ll architect and automate scalable infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services—primarily on Azure—while fostering best practices in DevOps and guiding team members. Your work will ensure our systems are secure, reliable, and efficient, accelerating the delivery of innovative software and data products.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure on Azure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation best practices.
• CI/CD Automation: Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions for deploying Python and FastAPI applications and data workflows.
• Databricks Management: Set up and automate Databricks environments, including cluster provisioning, job orchestration, and monitoring.
• Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers and data scientists to streamline development and deployment of AI-driven applications.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
• DevOps Excellence: As a Subject Matter Expert, promote best practices in monitoring, logging, security, and cost optimization across platforms.
• Guidance: Advocating best DevSecOps practices and supporting their implementation across the wider team.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions in collaboration with product owners and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential:

• Strong experience in Python or Node.js, with adaptability to new technologies.
• Deep expertise in Azure IaaS and PaaS services (e.g., Azure Databricks, App Service, AI Search, Storage).
• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-400, AZ-305)
• Proficiency in GitHub version control and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with observability tools and API integrations.
• Curiosity-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of databases like MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Proven ability to innovate and automate new technologies and frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• DevSecOps paradigm & best practices knowledge

Preferred:

• Solid understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and IaC tools (Terraform).
• Experience with cloud security and data engineering workflows.
• Proficiency in Terraform or Bicep.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum practices.
