Behavioral Health Clinical Educator

 

 

 

Develops, designs, implements, and evaluates behavioral health related educational programming to provide evidence-based skill development opportunities and improve behavioral health treatment outcomes.

 

 

Essential Functions:

• Develops and implements training programs to educate staff on behavioral health practices and procedures.
• Collaborates with clinical teams to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
• Conducts assessments to evaluate staff competency and identify areas for improvement.
• Assists staff in the use of learning management systems.
• Maintains accurate records of training activities and employee progress.
• Stays up-to-date with current research and best practices in behavioral health to ensure training programs are evidence-based.

Education Requirement:

• Master’s degree from an accredited university in Clinical Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work, or;

• Doctoral degree from an accredited university or professional school in Psychology, required.

Licensure Requirement:

Appropriate Independent Ohio licensure, required.

• Strong interpersonal skills, adept at collaboration, and ability to relate effectively with Behavioral Health services staff and a variety of hospital departmental personnel and physicians.
• Ability to effectively organize and facilitate meetings to produce high quality educational offerings.
• Demonstrated high levels of initiative, clinical decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Ability to use sound judgment and ethical decision-making.

Experience:

• Two years of demonstrated skills or knowledge of the provision of evidence-supported behavioral health care to children and families, required.
• Experience in teaching, educational or treatment program development, process implementation and maintenance, or related tasks, required.
