Brown & Brown has an exciting opportunity available for an Insurance Operations Administrative Assistant for our team in Minneapolis, MN!

In this entry-level role you will learn about insurance processes and support the practice leader with room for growth and additional duties with time. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with industry professionals, learn the fundamentals of insurance operations, and contribute to a dynamic and supportive team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Operational Duties:

  • Maintain relationships with carrier partners, assisting with scheduling and setting up meetings in our Minneapolis office.

  • Assist in document preparation, tracking, and follow-up.

  • Maintain organized records and ensure timely updates to operational systems.

  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring professional and efficient communication.

  • Help organize and oversee internal events and seminars for our prospective and existing customers, from pre-event planning through day-of, troubleshooting issues, addressing last-minute changes, and monitoring guest experience to ensure satisfaction.

  • Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned.

Administrative Support Duties:

  • Manage sensitive information with a high level of discretion and professionalism.

  • Provide meeting and general office support.

  • Handle phone calls, emails, and other correspondence on behalf of the practice leader.

  • Coordinate meetings, seminars, events, and travel arrangements, maintaining an organized schedule and keeping the leader updated.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Excellent at problem-solving and making sound decisions

  • High level of discretion; processing confidential information and documents

  • Interest in developing a career in insurance

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn new software.

  • Minimum associate’s degree in marketing, business, management or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.

Physical Requirements Necessary on a Regular Basis:

  • Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone 7-8 hours per day.

  • Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication 7-8 hours per day.

  • Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor.

  • Ability to sit at a desk 7-8 hours per day.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.

Pay Range

$21.63 - $28.85 Hourly

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
